Getting Over Your Shyness With Showcasing Your Projects and How to Get Started
You have to get over your shyness when it comes to showcasing your dev skills. It is important that you showcase your work because it helps you grow your skills and get recognition. Getting feedback, good and bad, will let you know what you need to improve on. Whether you work as a freelancer or work at a company, you're going to have to show your work so why not get your feet wet now?
Trust me, I know what it feels like to present your work and the fear of having it ripped to shreds but critiques but it's an unfortunate part of any kind of work honestly.
Join a Coding Community Where You Can Share Your Projects
One community that I am a part of and I know is active and has a very positive community is iCodeThis. iCodeThis is a platform where you can partake in daily coding challenges. The challenges range from very easy to very challenging so they have someone for every developer. They also have an active Discord server where you can share your coding projects, both daily challenges and your own custom projects.

How to Talk About Your Project
When posting your project on social media or presenting in person, it's important to tell what it is. Depending on the size of the project, you may also go further and state what problem you solved, the stack used, the challenges you faced during the development of the project, etc. In the image above, the original poster mentions what the project is as well as the features he added to the project.
List of Things to Include When Sharing Your Project:
What's the project
What problem it solves
The stack you used
What you found most challenging while building the project
Additional features and functionality
Conclusion
In conclusion, it is important for developers to showcase their skills in order to grow and improve. Getting feedback, both good and bad, can help you identify areas where you need to improve. There are many online communities where you can share your projects and get feedback, such as iCodeThis and Frontend Mentor. When sharing your project, be sure to include the following information:
What the project is
What problem it solves
The stack you used
What you found most challenging while building the project

Don't be afraid to share your work! The more you do it, the easier it will become. And remember, everyone starts somewhere. So don't be afraid to put yourself out there and show the world what you can do.
